Scaling Legal Heights

I fell in love with the outdoors and mountains specifically when I first moved to Colorado at the age of 12. But since then, I have tried to climb higher every year. My law career has been much the same. Every case, just like every climb, presents a new and unique challenge. Along the way, there are often setbacks and frustrations, but ultimately, a successful outcome is my goal. Climbing mountains requires tenacity, strategy, and grit. All those skills translate to how I practice law and represent my clients and get the best results possible.

Morgan graduated from Gonzaga University in 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations and Political Science. Morgan’s focus in both her undergraduate and graduate educations has always been public service. She volunteered with developmentally disabled adults throughout her time in Washington and began interning in the Public Defender’s Office before attending law school. Morgan strongly believes that quality representation should not come at the cost of financial hardship for clients.

Morgan is an honest and compassionate attorney whose priority is open, client-centered representation. Although originally from St. Louis, Morgan has considered Colorado her home since moving to Colorado in 2001. Upon graduating from the University of Colorado Boulder, Morgan began her law career in 2014 with the Colorado State Public Defender’s Office representing indigent clients charged with a variety of criminal offenses before transitioning into family law in 2020. She has over 10 years of courtroom and litigation experience including numerous court and jury trials. Although Morgan has strong courtroom and trial skills, she has nonetheless negotiated countless favorable resolutions on behalf of her clients.

Morgan has also been trusted to train other attorneys about the overlap of criminal and family law cases as well as the impact of domestic violence on family law cases. She has also been consulted by news sources specifically regarding issues surrounding domestic violence and child abuse.
