Get to Know Susan
Passion for Inclusion
To date, I have visited more than twenty-five countries, and one of the greatest joys has been sharing those experiences with my children. Together, we have weathered winter storms in Iceland, swum with stingrays in Grand Cayman, celebrated New Year's in Mauritius, enjoyed Glühwein (mulled wine) at Germany's Christmas markets, and lived in Ireland, where my children became accomplished equestrians. Most recently, we traveled through Japan, immersing ourselves in its rich history, traditions, and vibrant communities.
For years, Colorado was one of my family's favorite destinations. We returned time and again to enjoy its natural beauty, outdoor recreation, welcoming communities, and exceptional quality of life. What began as a place we loved to visit eventually became the place we chose to call home, and I am grateful to now live and work in a state that reflects so many of the values that are important to me.
Both my military service and my travels have given me the opportunity to learn from people whose experiences differ from my own. These experiences have broadened my perspective, deepened my appreciation for diversity, and strengthened my commitment to fostering equity, inclusion, and belonging. The understanding and empathy I have gained help me build meaningful relationships with clients and create an environment where people feel seen, valued, and supported.
